c'est la vie

I wish my life were much more boring.
That way, I'd have time to keep a blog.

Austin tomorrow.
I will run five miles before leaving.
Lizep will be visiting.

Vegas soon.

prendre patience

I discovered I lost my ID last week.
Right before my trip to Vegas.

I waited patiently twice on Monday.
I had to work.
By Tuesday, I was frustrated.

Today I waited patiently for over two and a half hours.
It was worth it.

After two hours of waiting in line,
the lady at the counter and sang and danced to Erasure.
When she suggested that we get on the counter and dance,
I asked her if I could work off my $11 debt dancing.
She said maybe in tips.
This really happened.

Lady at DPS, this one goes out to you!

a moment on the lips is a lifetime on the hips. . .

I was excited about a pizza I ordered tonight.

I ran upstairs, grabbed three plates for me and my homeboys.

I opened the box, ready to devour the entire pie. . .

only to find a large cheese pizza covered in meat!

I was willing to sacrifice the results from my near three mile through the hill country trails yesterday
and
all those weights I was lifting.

I still am.

mon coeur est brisé

So much has happened, I don't know where to even begin.

Well, I'm ordering up my transcripts and examination scores for a really amazing MBA program. My current MBA credits wont be accepted, but this opportunity is far beyond any other that I can achieve through a traditional MBA.
The program I am applying to is one of the top 20 International MBA programs offered in the United States.
The first semester is spent in Mumbai.
The second semester is in Philadelphia.
The final semester is spent in Shanghai and Tokyo.

I'm still enrolled at St. Edwards in Austin, so if I don't get into this program I'll be okay.
I'm scared to be stuck in Austin.
I fear that I will be limited to a career in the United States.
I don't think I should be scared, I should have no problem with my 4.0 GPA.

Tim and Eric ruled.
Dr. Steve Brule was there.
I really dig what John C. Riley has done with his career.

Last weekend was amazing!
I finally got to meet David Sedaris and attend his reading FREE.

I was worried about him getting writer's cramp, so I only took my hardcovers.

I am an even bigger fan of him as I observed him interact with his fans and avid readers.

December will be extremely busy, and I hope to update more.
My homie, Lee, is coming up for a visit from Florida.
We'll hit up Austin with muchos road sodas and metal.
Lizep will be coming up to visit me the following weekend to party Tejas style.
Then my trip to Vegas for family fun, hiking, and gambling shenanigans.

Working out is working out, but I wish I spent more time lifting weights.

Pablo and I were going on our weekly 20 mile bike rides, but the weather has gotten so cold that I've only done about 4-6 miles a few times a week.
Sandra and I went riding in Austin yesterday.
I've been wanting to ride to work, but I just cannot wake up that early.

Desiree took this photo of me after Greek Fest.
whatchoo know about heavy metal?

Headed back to Austin on Wednesday for Bingo Birthday Bash madness.

My passenger side seatbelt hasn't worked since the 90's dance party awesomeness that occured in my car.

Now, I'm ready to hit the road back to Austin with Natalie to see Tim and Eric!

the final countdown

Less than two hours left of work.

I will then run along home and pack for my trip tomorrow.

Debauchery. Pure Debauchery.

With the assistance of Lee and Noel, I will tear apart Tampa.

In other news, someone has complimented on each dress I have worn to work this week.

My belts are also a huge hit.

It was especially rewarding receiving compliments on a dress that I was able to salvage using my trusty sewing machine.

I have to make some alterations to one more dress before my trip.

. . .and dinner at the Filling Station with my roommate and hopefully Rose.

I went and vacuumed out my car on my lunch break, and I FINALLY found my photobooth pictures with the boys at Beauty Bar in Austin from this past weekend. The hunt is OVER.

Oh, and Chromeo was a fun fun.

I will be proposing to David tomorrow.
Back to Austin.
Quality Reggie time.
Just got back last night.
Tonight I will sleep.
Tomorrow I will dance.
dance. dance. dance.

Sam is moving in this weekend.

I will be in Florida this weekend.

Today is the new yesterday

It has been exactly one week since my first blog post. I'd like to give myself a big pat on the shoulder for being consistent, which is not something I am known for.

What has happened to Berrronica in the past week?
  • I had new bands put on my braces on Monday.
  • I went back to work on Tuesday, and DDS lost their final game of the season ever-so-gracefully.
  • I had a work event after work on Wednesday. I took a disco nap, and headed to a punk rock suprise birthday party on the Southside. dannnng girl.
  • Thursday was the day that I shopped until I dropped for the sexiest birthday outfit of the year, as well as booze for my party that will be tonight.
  • Friday I turned 26, and I spent it with close friends eating expensive food followed by hangout action at my place.
  • Tonight is my party.
Work has been productive today. There is a lot of downtime on Saturdays, so that I can really get down to business.

I have been here for almost three hours now, and I have accomplished the following:
  • I watched episodes of Tim and Eric, How I Met Your Mother, and It's Always Sunny on Hulu.
  • I paid my credit cards.
  • I organized my Itunes, because there were some unlabeled items. Not anymore.
  • I made myself breakfast.
  • I used the little ladies' room.
  • Got all caught up on my facebook news feed. Now I know what all my internet friends are doing.
It has been a productive day. I cannot complain.

Pictures of Berrro's Birthday Bash will be posted soon. I'm excited.

Tomorrow? Austin.

Howdy New Blog

Today seemed like an appropriate day to start a new blog. I have not had one of these things in YEARS, and I miss it from time to time.

My name is Veronica. I am twenty five years old, but not for much longer. My birthday is in six days. I LOVE birthdays, but I am just not feelin' it this year. Perhaps a trip to Circus Bingo is how I need to celebrate. Bingo is one of my favorite past times.

Kickball is another activity I have been involved in recently. I play on a team called "Downtown Death Squad" in the league San Antonio Sports and Social Club. We get drunk and kick balls. Our last game is on Tuesday, and we still have not won a single game.
